Ed Video

I thought you Video Collective folks might be interested in this:

While I was stopped in Guelph today, I found out about a not-for-profit artist-run centre called Ed Video. It aims to support media artists and independent productions in Southwest Ontario. They maintain an extensive equipment pool with video cameras, lighting equipment, audio eqiupment, editing software, etc. and editing suits. They also provide workshops on all sorts of subjects such as production, post-production, shooting, equipment orientations, writing, editing and more. and finally, they also offer funding assistance.

Check them out at http://www.edvideo.org/edvideo/home/home/

“Interested in eating less oil? In this VideoNation/Hidden Driver report, animator Molly Schwartz keeps track of how many miles your food travels from field to fork.”

This video offers a U.S. perspective on these issues. I found it to be well done.
