On Friday June 29th at 10am there will be a walk from the N'Amerind Friendship Centre at 260 Colborne to City Hall, and then at 12 noon to Harris park where we will gather.
This rally is for all, Brian Hill says;
' This peaceful march is not for Native people...it is about Native people...it is for the Non-Native community of London and area to learn more about the issues and conditions that we as Native people are living with every day. ' Brian can be reached at jb_hill29@yahoo.ca for more information, to make a donation or volunteer in organizing.
Please come out and support. We have so much to learn from Natives and this opportunity will benefit us all.
Hope to see you Friday.

Anyone interested in showing their support for this very important bill is asked to attend this coming Monday's London City Council session. Council will be asked to put it's support behind this bill with the hopes that it will be passed into law during this springs Provincial Session of Parliament. As we all know, there have been far to many incidences of troubling circumstances at a number of these roadside zoo's in London and the surrounding area. The endorsement of the principles contained in this bill, which are rooted in the absolute basics of animal husbandry, will be instrumental in mitigating against anything like we saw on the news once again two weeks ago.
It is thought that Councils support of this bill, in conjunction with the over 10000 signatures on the petition will be enough to sway the MPP's to the conclusion that we need to initiate progressive change in the way the law views this subject.
The session will be commencing at 5 PM Monday. While it is not possible to ascertain precisely when this request will be tabled, based on the best information available, we should be able to witness the debate starting sometime before 5:30.
If you feel strongly in support of this issue, and are unable to attend this session, please call your local Ward Councillor, Board of Control Member or the Mayor and let them know how you feel.

Environment and Transportation Committee Meeting City Hall 4:30pm
Description:
At 4:30 on Monday, Gina Barber will be putting forward a motion requesting that the City of London petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to support Bill 154. (regulation of zoos act)This initiative by London would certainly make it easier to get the support of area MPPs and the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. Most zoos in Ontario are currently unregulated and the MNR does not cover exotic animals. Bill 154 would significantly improve the lives of captive wildlife and succeed in shutting down some of the worst zoos in Ontario. It is extremely important for us to show strong support for this motion on Monday. Please make every effort to attend this meeting at 4:30pm.
