After trying (unsuccessfully) to vote in the University Student Council (USC) elections from this computer, and posting a comment under Kota's reply, I considered not moving out of this chair.
Ok, so feeling the need to be a responsible student, I sought out other voting options. I tried another computer in the library - "you are not enfranchised" (or something like that) was the result. So I went to the source, the University Community Centre. I figured I was in luck, there were two voting booths clearly marked. I sat down in the first one - which turned out to be completely offline. I snickered and muttered a suttle "figures". So I moved on to the second booth, which was... also completely offline.

If you like any of the following bands, you will want to come to this show, b/c that is what we (Our Nation) sound like: Sigur Ros, Silver Mt. Zion, Sonic Youth (cf. "Death Valley 69"), Grizzly Bear, the moodier parts of Blur's "13", Explosions in the Sky.
Our Nation will be playing with The Yage Letters, Madripor, and This Ends Now this Thursday (Feb. 21) @ Old East Studios (755 Dundas; across from the Embassy). All these bands are well worth $5, which is how much the show is going to cost.
Our Nation includes members from Olenka, Sick Friend, birdsacrosswater, Pale, the one behind the many, Harvest Chant, ladies magazine plot mascarade, and other great projects.

To anyone who has ever lost a wallet, you know the stress involved with such an inconvenient travesty. While running errands today I lost mine, complete with $200 and all the ID for my son and myself (birth certificates, SIn cards, Health cards, my Driver's Lisence etc.) After calling to cancel all my credit cards and bank card, I reported it to the police and then tried to get on with my day. I then received a call that someone who wished to remain nameless had found it and turned it over to the police, complete with the entire $200. I wish i knew who found it

Beginning February 15 the Hyland cinema will be showing:

Check em out because these are the stories we need to hear. And they both seem to be visually stunning. I'm sure they'll be two complete treats!

Look what you made me do:

I got so drunk, yesterday afternoon, at your house that on my way to the party afterward I spilt all 500 cases of beer. You hoser!

Before deciding who your going to vote for in the upcoming USC election, if your voting please consider Ryan Gauss for USC president.
Ryan Gauss did an amazing job at Kings with our student council. He brought in Ralph Nader, David Suzuki, and Jack Layton. He spoke out at city hall and the police service board against the sterotyping of students around what was dubbed 'project speakeasy' which targeted univeristy/college kids unfairly.
I encourage people to vote for Gauss January 19th or 20th.
