Don't forget to bring your own food container to cut down on waste. Most everything served seems to come in styrofoam unless you have a plate or tupperware container for vendors to serve it onto. A reusable mug and water bottle are also fashionable accessories that will impress us trendy folks who will be hanging out in the middle of the park.

In today's Freeps:

There is a story in the Free Press today on page A3 about how the big three festivals will include "Eco Stations" which will include recycling, compost and garbage containers. There will also be fountains to refill water bottles and cups. Although not in time for Sunfest, 1000 sets of steel plates and cutlery have been purchased to be used by the festivals.

The story didn't say anything about a ban selling bottled water or styrofoam containers. Although, with all the pop and juce bottles floating around, I'm not sure how much of an impact a bottled water ban would have.

I coulden't find the story on the Free Press site to link to.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle... it's in that order for a reason.

Here's a link to Lauren's letter
