Agenda:

* review of minutes from last meeting

* review of policies

* Jeremy to introduce notes for an LC business plan

* follow up stuff from last meeting

Review of minutes from last meeting:

* ratings system still not changed, Jeremy and Thomas may work on that at a meeting on June 22nd*

* Rachel will work on policy for working groups

Review and Editing of Policies:

Jeremy's
notes on the London Commons business plan strategy:

(can't find where it's posted so i'll include the discussion here)

* ultimate goal - owning the communications infrastructure

* we need engineering and business expertise to do it

* getting a team of students and a professor involved, working under our policy, to help the old east village develope its own internet services

* for London Commons to locate our server in London, selling services to members to build up capital and build infrastructure

* possibility of becoming a Local Public Offering - to own internet services

* need for strategic planning and narrowing of focus, Rachel has some resources on that

* possible support from the Labour Council and Canadian Legal Services (Matti and Jeremy will talk to them)

* need for complete business plan and complete set of by-laws

* Jeremy will post the business plan online for discussion

Follow up from the last meeting:

* voting at meetings - Thomas' idea, he isn't present so it's deferred until next time

* theme issues deferred - Jeremy and Thomas will work on them at their development meeting

The next meeting set for June 11:

* Liz will post the meeting to the events calendar

* Liz will post the minutes for this meeting

sorry....

This doesn't look very pretty or clear, couldn't figure out how to make it less wonky looking. Hope it's ok! Also jeremy did you post your business plan yet? I couldn't find it anywhere.
