There are some new cool privacy settings that pertain to user profiles.
Users can now set whether they want a certain bit of information contained in the profile to show publically or to only users in their "crew".
Here's how to adjust these settings (and also input information into your user profile):
- Make sure you're signed in with the correct account by scrolling to the top of any page
- In the top-right corner of the page, there's a line that says either "you are not signed in", or "you are signed in as _____ ' with either a login link, or links that say "view | edit | logout "
- click the "edit" link
- you are now presented to the main user settings. This is where you can adjust items such as a password, user pic etc.
- locate the links above where you enter in your email address, they should be "account settings", "about me", "barter", "favorites", and "security"
- click any of the links stated in step 5, except for "account settings"
- on the the pages linked to the links in step 5, you will find boxes to enter information.. this is where you can provide information about yourself.
- below each box for information in the pages linked as stated in step 5, there is a small checkbox.. this checkbox when selected, will hide information to the general public. Users you've authorized to be in your "crew" can see it.
If there's any questions, just ask, and one of us can try to answer them.. Also, if there's anything you would like added to profiles, just mention it, and we can look into adding/editing the existing one..
