Calling All Bike Hackers and Computer Geeks
The Chelsea Green/Glen Cairn area is home to social housing, new immigrants, etc. and too much of a problem of youth who don't have any resources to help keep them from making unhealthy life choices. Our community association is interested in the possibility of providing at least a couple of programs that might be of interest to them. The first one would provide the opportunity for them to learn how to cannibalize old, donated computers for workable parts and build working computers from that material, install/run Linux (because it's FREE), etc. The other one would be the same, but bikes instead of computers. Any intervention in the lives of these kids now will pay enormous dividends in the future, and your renumeration for assisting in these projects will be the satisfaction of having helped to build a healthier community. Interested persons are asked to contact me (519-649-0500) or Christine Li (519-668-2745).

I figured it was only a matter of time before I saw you post about this Greg. I'm a lurker on the London Ontario Linux Users Group, and I read your post about it there.
I can build computers and bikes, and I'm something of a Linux expert.
Okay, I guess I'll call you because that's what you said I should do.
Prefer the term nerd to geek though.
Preferrential Treatment
'geek' rhymes with 'reek' but 'nerd' rhymes with ...
Still, if there's a chance that you might be willing to lend a hand with this project, I'll happily call you 'expert.' :)
You're welcome to call or email or drop by. If you want to meet up downtown at CoffeeCulture across from the library I'll be there tomorrow and Thursday for sure. Or if you want to meet at the Center and meet some of the staff I can arrange that.
