London needs an online, user contributed ethical business directory. This book page is a place to list ethical businesses. All users can edit this page or add child pages to contribute to this directory. More info about book pages.
These guidelines are just something I've thrown up. If you think they need to be changed, edit this page and change them. You might also want to add a comment telling others the reason for your changes.
In order for an ethical business directory to work we're going to need a definition of ethical. Here's something to start with:
For now, adding new business to this book page is probably fine. We could add a child page for every business, but that would probably get tough to navigate. What makes the most sense would be to have child pages for different kinds of business. Perhaps one for restaurants, one for clothing etc.
If you want to start a sub-category in this directory, just click on the add child page link.
Here is a sample entry that can be copy and pasted to make a new entry that can then be edited. This template uses Heading 4 (<H4>) for the business name and Heading 5 (<H5>) for Description, Phone, Address etc. Headings 4 and 5 are in the formats drop-down menu in the editing toolbars.
Feel free to change this template up too.
Sample Business delivers bean burritos on weekends in the late evening. The deliveries are made by bike, and all of the burritos are made at home with local, organic and fair trade ingrediants. Churros available on the first weekend of every month and all long weekends.

child pages
The names and positions of child pages can always be reorganized at any time, but it would be a lot of work to reorganize the directory if it got to be very large.
So we need to figure out a way to organize the directory so that it's easy to navigate and maintain.
I suggest creating child pages for different kinds of business, eg. clothing, restaurant, retail etc. And then leaving the parent, root page to explain what the directory is about, how it's organized etc.
