'A Stroke of Green'
London Artist Philip Aziz is opening his studio-gallery to Green Party of Canada leader, Elizabeth May.
Canada 's leading environmentalist, Elizabeth May, meets Canada 's leading artist, Philip Aziz. This is your chance to meet them both, be inspired and support environmentalist Monica Jarabek. Philip Aziz is renowned for his sculptures, painting and metal works embracing subjects as diverse as dandelions and the late Pope, John Paul II. His work has hung in galleries throughout the world.
Elizabeth May , leader of the Green Party of Canada, is an author and world-renowned for her successful environmental stewardship. They meet at the Aziz Art Studio-Gallery which is surrounded by an inspirational natural setting.
Funds raised will support community activist Monica Jarabek in her candidacy for M.P. in London West.
Cash bar, home-made food, live music, special guests and an opportunity to meet Monica Jarabek, London West Green Party of Canada Candidate and to donate to her campaign.
WHEN: Monday February 4 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: 150 Philip Aziz Avenue, London (across from UWO's Thompson Arena.
TICKETS: $25.

*cough* Canada's leading artist? fuck, that's a toss up between me and Jeff Wall... oh, I mean those bastards at Tate modern will survey hundreds of directors, curators etc. and come up with Wall as the most internationally recognized Canadian artist...
