These look great Mike,
These look great Mike, what kind of gear are you working with?

gear
I use a nikon F-90, an SB-28 flash, a 300mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8 and a 28mm f2.8 lense. I also make a lot of use of my hand held light meter. I just bought a D1x off E-bay, but I had to send it to Nikon to get the shutter repaired...
I'm not too happy with the scans on the CD i got from Stan C. Ried's. The exposures aren't as good as the slides and film.

My Photos
That is great work, Mike. I
That is great work, Mike. I just wish there was a convenient means by which posting new content wouldn't immediately trump what was already there. My recent painting was only up minutes before someone decided to post a dumb logo consigning my art to never-never land. Sure they can look it up, but first they need to know its there.
I wouldn't even have cared all that much if it had been other art. It was only a logo based on cheap clip art and for an event in Florida. Crikey, what next? I can appreciate that no one owns the "Latest Image" spot, yet at the same time it is the only elegant way of letting the community know that one has contributed new content.
I tried posting it up on the front page, but the image generated errors and would not post. I wonder if there is a switch in Drupal that would lock the Recent Image pane for, say 24 hours so that people would have a decent opportunity to have others see their work. Jeremy would probably know, and if it was possible to do so, I would certainly recommend it.
In my case, I would rather not step on or be stepped on by other users in this manner. I will cease posting artwork here and move my work over to wetcanvas.com. If anyone wants to see it they can go there and look me up. I will drop a blog entry here whenever I update that site.
Of course, anyone can wander into Imagine on King and see my stuff "in the flesh" as it were. I have some twenty odd pieces on permanent display there.
Cheers
Charles

ART MATTERS!!!
The New is Now!!!
Modern Art Rules!!
burried
hey Cahrles,
When I was done posting photos, I inteded to bump your art back up to the top of the recent comments pile (which is now done), so your piece should get some exposure that route. last night as before I started posting, I put a notice on the front page that the recent comments page was about to be flooded so that anyone with pressing content/replys/etc could choose to wait a bit rather then have they're post burried. unfortunatly your piece had already been posted at that point. Sorry 'bout that. I think if I was about 20 min. earlier, I would have got the notice up in time for you to see... I think you can delete the node and repost the image to get it back on the newest image box... you'd just need to cut and paste your text and re-upload the image. I'm all done posting photos for a while now, so this would be the time to do it.
Personally, I'd like to see a feature that allows be to upload batches of photos. It would save me a load of time and probably prevent the landslide in the recent comments list...
