John Allan Cameron died this morning

Canadian Celtic music icon John Allan Cameron died this morning.

This has some sort of personal significance to me, as Cameron was one of my mother's favourite musicians and today is her birthday.

For those who don't know, Cameron is credited for making Celtic music popular again in Canada.  He even had his own television show in the 70s and was a household name.

He sang this great song "Please Don't Bury Me" about his wishes for after his death.  It's a funny, upbeat song about not wanting to be put into the "cold-cold ground" and how he'd rather "have them cut me up and pass me all around".  and that the "deaf can have both of my ears if they don't mind the size."  I looked around for it online to link to, but couldn't find it.
